We’re Taking Branding To A Whole New Level

Brand Director, Laura Santi, is bringing EightySeven to the Rocky Mountains

2022 was EightySeven’s biggest year yet. It’s only fitting that we’re kicking 2023 off with a big move. We’re talking Rocky Mountain BIG.

That’s right, EightySeven is heading west and expanding its presence to beautiful, mile-high Denver, Colorado. The shop will be headed up by our award-winning Brand Director, Laura Santi, who spent the last year building relationships with our clients in and around Detroit.

“Laura was the obvious choice to take the lead in Denver,” says Maxwell Billings, Founder and Brand Director at EightySeven. “Her years of brand building experience, excellent instincts, and keen design eye are going to help EightySeven make a real difference for businesses in Colorado and across the region.”

The move follows our recent partnership with Solo Stove, and represents an opportunity for our studio to get more personal experience with the nature-loving outdoor lifestyle the brand is known for. Having established a presence and deep understanding of consumer lifestyles in major metropolitan areas like Chicago, New York, and Detroit in recent years, Denver with its vibrant outdoor culture was an obvious next step.

“So much brand strategy is grounded in shared experiences and empathy,” says Maxwell, “This is a great opportunity for us to continue sharing our approach to brand storytelling, solving big problems, and creating new relationships in the sixth fastest growing economy in the U.S.”

Like so many of the best designers, Laura’s brand work is often influenced and informed by her own personal experiences.

After several years building brands for developers and commercial real estate companies in and around Detroit during her time with Zoyes, she recently took home a Gold Davey award for her sensory hotel brand concept, Epicurian House. More recently, she leveraged her newfound appreciation for golf to develop the elegant, country-club-inspired brand identity of Fore-te, a club-sports-focused women’s lifestyle brand.

“Having the chance to be part of a city that’s just growing like crazy is so, so exciting,” Laura said when asked about the move. “Everyone I tell seems to know someone who’s visiting or moving there…and Colorado’s growing hospitality industry represents a huge opportunity for us. Plus, after my last few years in Detroit, 300 days of sunshine every year sounds…pretty nice.”

Those of us in Chicago and Brooklyn can relate. 300 days of sunshine definitely sounds nice right about now. But hey, even though the Groundhog saw his shadow this year, the studio’s future certainly seems bright with such a talented Brand Director taking her talents to Denver.
